Wyndham Boston
89 Broad St
Boston, MA 02110
Directly in the downtown financial section
of the city, the Wyndham Boston has recently been restored and
is an art-deco landmark that has been open as a hotel since 2000.
Surrounded by tall office buildings, the hotel itself encompasses
15 floors. Upon entering, the lobby is decorated in dark woods
and art deco brass designs balanced by a white marble floor.
Concierges were knowledgeable and professional, eager to recommend
all types of ethnic restaurants as well as making multiple dining
reservations for my convenience.

Only about five minutes from Quincy Market,
Faneuil Hall and the beginning of the Freedom Trail, the Wyndham
Boston is a centrally located property both for tourists as well
as business travelers. About two blocks away is the waterfront
with restaurants, tour boats and the New England Aquarium on
the Boston Harbor. The Italian North End is just one block further,
offering an array of Italian dining and pastry shops.
The immediate area around the hotel, however,
is quiet at night due to its location in the high rises of the
financial district. In the lobby, Caliterra Bar and Grille is
always hopping, so it's easy to enjoy a good meal in a busy scene
without even leaving the property. For a busier nightlife, hop
in a cab and head the easy mile to Newberry street's restaurants
and bars.

My suite was a corner room decorated with
dark furniture offering plenty of drawer and dresser space. Neutral
carpeting and window coverings complemented high ceilings that
opened up the slightly dark rooms. A pull-out couch and a television
in both the sitting room and the bedroom were added amenities.
The bedroom was large and the king bed extremely comfortable
(the turndown service was always an added luxury). Room service
appeared almost immediately after I hung up the phone to bring
me some forgotten toiletries.
Check-out was a breeze, and my car was
waiting for me when I stepped out the door. The Wyndham Boston
was an enjoyable and exceptionally comfortable experience.
