The staff sparkles with friendliness, politeness and adeptness. When I appeared at the front desk for my tour, the representative arrived shortly and was eager to make sure I was comfortable. At the tour's conclusion, I was treated to a delicious drink in the lobby bar where I was free to ask questions. These are the types of details that set a Ritz apart. Offering me the hotel's special cocktail while we met, making sure I immediately had everything I needed without ever being over-bearing. Rooms and suites are warmed with mahogany furniture, and beautifully decorated in understated tropical colors. Sleep will come easily to all on the thick feather bed covered by the rich down comforter. The marble bathrooms with designer toiletries, robes, separate showers and bathtubs and two sinks have been designed to make the simple task of washing up as pleasurable as possible. |
Enough praise cannot be given to Jasmine's restaurant. Small plates combining Jamaican and Asian flavors shone. A perfect mix of soft music and low, neighboring conversations, this ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or a fine meal with friends or associates. My young waiter was so pleasant, helpful and, well, so adorable that I had to stop the manager on my way out to sing his praises.
A huge, free-form pool and a rich green
lawn lie in the center of the horseshoe-shaped property. The
only negative to the resort is the narrow beach. It is a slim
strip that can at times be crowded. Half of the beach is for
swimming, the other half is rocky. Regardless, both sides are
beautiful on their own.
